Integration partners
Philips Capsule works with over 100 different medical device manufacturers and over 100 different electronic medical record (EMR), clinical information system (CIS) and healthcare information technology (HIT) applications. Our Device Driver Interface Library supports over 1,200 devices. Cooperative relationships ensure that we maintain and revise our drivers as our partners update their devices and systems. This enables our customers to upgrade devices while maintaining integration without interruption.
During deployment, medical devices are physically connected and then configured, so that Device Driver Interfaces (DDIs) capture, normalize, and transform the medical device data through the Philips Capsule Medical Device Information Platform (MDIP). DDIs also provide true plug-and-play operability that allows connectivity throughout the hospital.
With the industry’s largest and most mature device driver library, Philips Capsule customers are assured that their medical device types, models, and firmware versions are supported. Whether looking to enable connectivity for a mixed fleet of aging and new devices or looking to expand the range of device types across different care environments, a comprehensive device driver library provides a truly scalable infrastructure.
